NSW Lending
We pointed out last time that the drop in lending in the previous months was due to lower sales in Sydney during the lockdown. The sales started to rebound in September, and, in these November lending numbers, we can see the corresponding uptick.
Investor Ratio of Total New Lending
Once again a reminder that despite the high absolute amount of investor lending that has almost reached the 2015 - 2017 peaks, the ratio of investors is far, far below those years. This is because the owner occupier lending is somewhere around 50% higher today than it was then.
This is still, a year into it, an owner occupier driven boom in NSW.
