Australians' Gross Household Income

How did Australian households' income fare through the first few months of Covid? Today we get the figures for 2019-2020 from the ABS. All of these are total gross incomes, meaning that this is more than just salaries, but rather it includes all income sources - business incomes, social benefits, investment income and so on.

Incomes continued to rise for all quintiles, albeit slowly, particularly for the highest quintile.

Note that the chart above shows change between the two year periods, essentially doubling the annual growth rate. If we adjust for that, we get
